    The Way Forward

    The Way Forward

How the strategy gets implemented — tasklists, not top-down workplans.

    Implementation

    Tasklists, owned by
    the teams doing
    the work.

Rather than a large organisational workplan matrix that sits with management and requires a strong top-down push for implementation, the way forward will see the development of ‘tasklists’ by the ACE Trust team. These are developed by the teams responsible for each element of the Focus Areas, with clear reporting formats and timelines, and are reviewed every six months.

    Why tasklists

    Three reasons.

    01

    Clear reporting lines

It allows for clear reporting and responsibility lines with clear timeframes for key activities, ensuring all processes are being implemented and reviewed effectively.

    02

    Flexibility

The tasklist can be amended by a team as the situation develops — obsolete processes can be removed and new ones added as needed.

    03

    Shared ownership

The drive for organisational change no longer sits with management or a small number of staff, but is shared among everyone who contributes to a common goal.

ACE Trust is an organisation that has shown its ability to remain a key actor in the agricultural marketing environment in Malawi, through thick and thin.
